The Summer festival season is just around the corner, and if you’ve even been to one, you know that the loud music and reckless abandon at these events go hand in hand with beer. Once the concerts have ended for the night though, and the majority has either gone home or passed out, what’s left in the wake is an army of litter, with crushed beer cans leading the charge. That these hollowed aluminum shells are a source of beauty is something that we never would have thought of. Thankfully, Brooklyn-based photographer, Jonathon Kambouris did, and in his series Beer Garden he removes the cans from their natural habitat and isolates them in front of a white backdrop. We can honestly say we’ll never look at a flattened beer can the same way ever again.
More after the jump.
