Brooklyn-based photographer, Matthew Porter captures unbelievably beautiful images of vintage muscle cars in mid-flight. At first photos seem real, but after viewing it closely you realize the cars are far too high in the air to be real images. Then you begin to wonder how he makes these images look so awesomely real. He begins by taking large format images of barren cityscapes, and then dangles miniature cars (purchased through diecastmusclecars.com) from a mechanical arm which are carefully lighted and shot. He then digitally fuses the two separate photos and the result looks like something straight out of a scene from Starsky & Hutch or Dukes of Hazard.
